Johnnie T.
Estes is one of the original founders of the Airborne Maintenance
Technician Association, and has been a part of the AMTA since day one.
He served as AMTA President from October 20, 2005 until October 3, 2019.
Very close to 14 years as president and over 15 years served as a
director on the AMTA Board of Directors.
Johnnie was listed as the first AMT on the AMTA
roster. This was based totally on the fact his name was alphabetically
first, as six other AMTs were founders and everyone did their share to
ensure a solid association was founded and we were able to have our
first reunion in September 2004. |

Bill Wilson is
ONE OF THE ORIGINAL FOUNDERS and if you have never worked with this man you are missing out.
Bill is just one of us, an AMT, but during the incorporation of the AMTA
he filled the shoes of many people including being our legal
representative as no lawyers were hired. Bill is presently an AMTA
director but each and everyone of the AMTA board members turn to him for
advice. He has always been a strong supporter of the AMTA. |

Mike McLaughlin is an AMTA LIFETIME CHARTER
MEMBER and has served on the AMTA Board of Directors and has been the
AMTA Secretary January 3, 2005. He not only performs the duties of the
secretary but is also the back up for the AMTA Treasurer. Mike takes
every job very seriously and he has always been right there to ensure we
always dot the "Is" and cross the "Ts".
Mike was not a founder of the AMTA but has been
a strong supporter since day one (June 2004). His work and generosity
toward the AMTA has saved a lot of money and has helped the AMTA to keep
funds on hand to help others in need. Due to health reasons Mike
has had to step down from serving on the AMTA board. He will be
thoroughly missed. Mike continues to be willing to help as long as he is
physically able to do so.
